You usually don’t think of Christmas and horror movies together. But there are horror movies that focus on Christmas or take place during the holiday season. Some are good and scary, but others are just campy and fun. Ever think of Santa as a killer? Or how about a snowman? Instead of watching the same old Christmas movies and specials, give a holiday themed horror movies a try.

Bibsters: A MUST Have Product

The title says it all! I decided to try these disposable bibs for my six month old son. I was tired of washing out the bibs after every feeding. We only have about ten cloth bibs total and it was a pain to wash and repeat. Not to mention the fact that we don’t have a washer/dryer in the apartment. So, we went to Walmart to get more cloth bibs and found these Bibsters. They are made by Pampers and are disposable! They cost $6 a box for 32 of them. I was willing to spend that just to avoid the hassle of washing out the cloth ones. My review on them is totally positive. I would recommend these to moms all over!

Days of getting toys for Christmas for me have long passed. I am approaching *gulp* thirty! I have a young daughter and a bunch of little girls to buy for this Christmas though. The economy is still sucky and things seem to be getting more and more expensive. These gifts for girls are awesome and aren’t going to break your pocketbook either. Toys that were popular when I grew up are now coming back! My Little Pony and Polly Pocket are just a few that are becoming all the rage! If you have little girls to buy for this Christmas, check out these suggestions!

One Obsessed Harry Potter Fan’s View of the Wizarding World at Universal Studios

Back in June when the Wizarding World of Harry Potter opened in Orlando, I had to go the opening week. It was amazing. Everything from Hogwarts to Hogsmeade is faithfully recreated. The shops are on the small side for the most part, but they too feel apart of Harry’s world.  Now that the holiday season is approaching, it is travel time for many families. If you want to go somewhere that everyone will enjoy (even non-fans) the Wizarding World and the rest of Islands of Adventure is a great place. I doubt it will be as crowded as when I went and the weather will be much cooler.

Don’t forget to ride the Forbidden Journey, see Ollivander’s, and taste the Pumpkin Juice. (which I prefer over the butter beer)

Christmas is on its way in and shopping for presents is beginning. It is often hard to decide what to buy for a baby as a Christmas present. Sometimes the age suggestions aren’t really appropriate, the parents could be picky, or you just really don’t know what to get. Well, I would suggest clothing as an option. Babies and toddlers both need clothes because they grow so fast at this age. If you are dead set on getting them toys, this guide will help you! Playskool and Fisher-Price are always nice and safe bets because they are indeed age appropriate! Happy Shopping!

Where to Buy Black Christmas Trees

I’m not really a “Christmas” person and I certainly don’t start planning the holiday early. But, I’ve learned that if you want something a little out of the ordinary like a black Christmas tree, it’s best to look for one as soon as possible. The one year I tried to find a black tree, the only ones left where in England and wouldn’t get to the US in time for Christmas. So if you want to be a bit different this Christmas, a black tree would be a perfect way to try something new. And at the website Treetopia, they have every color imaginable.

World’s Most Annoying Phrases

Do you ever hear someone utter a certain phrase and instantly want to cover your ears? There are many irksome phrases in the English language, some because they are overused and some that just don’t make any sense! We all have phrases that make us shudder but there are some which are particularly bad. My most common annoying phrase is “I could care less”. The phrase should state “I COULDN’T care less”, unless you are trying to portray that you actually do care – but that is rarely what is meant. The more worrying part is that it is becoming used in television! I become irate when it is said during scripted TV because frankly, writers should know better!

Tell us some of the phrases that annoy you – here are some more of mine! World’s Most Annoying Phrases

Best Non-Animated Christmas Movies For Kids

It is November already! *Sigh* Time sure flies by when you have a little one to take care of! Christmas is fast approaching and one of my favorite things of the season is the awesome movies! Christmas movies for me bring back a ton of fond childhood memories of family and laughter. I personally am not a fan of cartoons or animation, so these ones are some of my absolute favorites. I must warn you though, “It’s A Wonderful Life” does NOT make the cut for my list. Afterall, my maiden name is Bailey and we watched that movie over and over at family Christmas because we were the Baileys. *eye roll* If you haven’t seen all five movies, I suggest you do so. They all are pretty awesome and your kids will love them too!
